Hiking
Hunter is about to get his Arrow of Light badge in scouts but before doing so we had to go on a hike. Here are a few pictures of our 3.5 mile hike above Lake Las Vegas. We went hiking with his den leader, DJ, and another scout named Jacob. It was the last thing Hunter needed to do before receiving his badge so on Thursday, October 22nd, he will officially cross the bridge from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.

Alisha's Trip to Vegas
Alisha came to visit us for a week and we had a lot of fun while she was here. On Thursday, she went to scouts with Hunter, well that is until I realized she was in my car with my house keys leaving me locked out of my house so she had to leave scouts and come let me in. Later that evening, Hunter took her on a date to Chili's. Somehow they talked me in to going with them even though I have decided never to eat there again. They convinced me that I have been ordering the wrong food when I go there. I am not sure how you can ruin a salad but Chili's somehow can do it. This time Alisha told me to order the pasta because it was the best so I did. WRONG!!! Now I have officially declared that I will not eat at Chili's again.
On Friday, Alisha got up early and made my favorite treat for my birthday. After that we sent Hunter to school and Alisha and I headed to the spa for the day for a relaxing massage. After the spa, we went shopping. Later that evening Hunter and Alisha took me to Sammys for dinner. Now Sammys is a place that knows how to make good food. (Although, grandma said she will never eat there again.) After dinner, we were going to a movie but instead ended up at the Halloween store where Hunter found a few of his favorite masks.

Golfing
We went to the driving range and that was certainly a memorable event. Alisha and Hunter were hitting golf balls and I was taking pictures. At some point, I saw a golf club go flying out of someone's hand and out onto the driving range. I thought it was funny until it dawned on me that it was Hunter's golf club. Yes, he had let go of it and it landed on the driving range. I had to find a range picker to go get it so we could leave. Hunter was embarrassed so when he picked up the club from the range picker, he told him it was his cousin who had thrown it out there.

Fun in the Sun
The last week has been very warm with temperatures ranging from 98 to 103. We have spent a lot of time in the pool and today was no exception. Hunter had a great time jumping from the top of the waterfall and as you can see by some of the pictures in the video below, Khloee was right behind him. I am always worried he will get hurt but he has no fear. Wow...103 at the beginning of the warm up...we might be in for a long hot summer.

Sweet Dayzee
On April 20th, Dayzee was diagnosed with IMHA. Her immune system started to attack and destroy her red blood cells. She became very weak and stopped eating. She was hospitalized twice where her vet gave her two blood transfusion and tried to suppress her immune system so her body could rebuild her blood supply. She fought hard but after a week, it was clear she was too weak to fight the disease and her body gave up. We really miss Dayzee but have a lot of fun memories of her.

Bowling
This weekend, Dylan had baseball games in Mesquite so grandma decided her, Aunt Penny, Trevor and Dylan would stay at our house instead of a hotel. Even though we enjoyed having them stay with us, I don't think Aunt Penny was thrilled at the idea of driving back and forth to Mesquite for 3 days but Grandma is the boss. While they were here the boys and I went bowling. I guess I should say I went with Dylan and Hunter. Trevor stayed home and texted his girlfriend while Aunt Penny and Grandma slept. Oh well....we had a great time.
